Technologies Policies
  • This class mostly uses Wechat and Google(Doc, Email, Slides and Drive).

  • Feel free to use any other technology during class that best helps you search for media artifacts or take notes.However, if your personal technology becomes too distracting or disrupts our classroom discussions, this policy may be revised to ensure respect for the learning environment.

  • VPN: You must have your VPN working and ready to use before class. This is essential for accessing resources and sites that may be restricted in certain locations.

  • Required Accounts: To participate fully in the course, you need to have FREE accounts with the following platforms:
  1. ChatGPT – For assistance with brainstorming, writing, and refining ideas.
  2. MidJourney – For creating visual references and artwork.
  3. Runway – For AI-powered video editing and creative production tools.

Please ensure you have set up these accounts and are familiar with how to use them before the start of the course.




  • Students may brainstorm ideas for writing or drafting purposes using ChatGPT or other LLMs (Large Language Models).

  • Final work written entirely by an LLM must have appropriate citation.

  • Text authored by AI should be quoted and listed in your references like a journal article, book, or conference paper.

  • AI-generated images used must also be explicitly cited.

  • Papers containing AI-generated writing or images that are not properly cited will be considered plagiarized and receive a 0 grade.
